muaddib

Lecturers at IIUM are expected to be more than just a muallim (teacher), they need to be a murabbi and a muaddib.

To play the roles excellently, sufficient trainings are needed. Beyond the formal training, informal training can be obtained via conscious reflection of life experiences.

You can't be a good muaddib if you have not encountered a person with rude behaviour. The behaviour is an opportunity for you to develop the skill as a muaddib. It is also a reminder to yourself about what is rude and what is polite.
