research presentations
In a whirlwind of activities today, alhamdulillah, I managed to create (more like update) another blog. It is for the 11th International Postgraduate Research Colloquium that will be held on 21st to 23rd August this year. About 7 months to go.

The website ain't a beauty. What's important are the information that are necessary for the potential participants. Based on previous experience, the majority of the participants were from Malaysia and Thailand. We also had people from Turkey, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, and a few other countries. Hopefully, we will be able to attract students from Indonesia, Singapore, and other developing countries.
I am co-chairing this Colloquium with Dr Shahrim from UPM. He is the Head of Department of Food Service Management. He had given me a book that I've yet to review. (hint: future post) This is the first time that UPM is co-hosting the event. I hope this will make for a more meaningful and better colloquium.
For the past 10 years, IIUM and BSRI (Behavioural Science Research Institute) had alternately organised the event. The colloquium in Bangkok last year was a blast. For the first time, an undergraduate student from IIUM presented at the colloquium. InsyaAllah, a paper based on the presentation will be published in a journal (hint: another future post). *smile*
I pray that there will be more papers at this 11th edition of the IPRC than ever before.
