After a long wait for the approval of the program, four lecturers and five undergraduate students from the Department of Psychology IIUM flew to Solo (Surakarta) for a 3-day visit. We arrived at the LCCT very early in the morning, when many people are still fast asleep. Nine arrived at the terminal, but only 8 boarded the aircraft. But that's another story.
Upon arrival, we were treated to a breakfast at a super duper nice restaurant. The wooden structure, and the excellent food are a perfect welcoming for a sleepy group of people. From there, we headed to the campus of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. The rest of the day was filled with two big events: signing of MOU and keynote address on Islamisation of Psychology. Below are some of the pictures taken by the photography team from UMS.

We had dinner at a diner which is situated opposite of a kraton. Lots of interesting recycled and reused materials at this diner. |
