Kembali?

It feels more like 'pergi semula'. Kembali would describe the journey to Kampung Kandang Hilir. The trip to Loughborough was another 'pergi semula'. After spending slightly over 2 weeks in Malaysia, the cold atmosphere of the UK embraced my arrival.

Upon setting foot on UK land, the contrasts start to manifest themselves. It is difficult to shoo them away. After warming up under the tropical sun, the bone-penetrating Arctic wind felt very cold. The gloomy sky seemed much darker against the blue sunny sky in Malaysia.

After two days at my flat, another contrast emerged. It felt very quiet. The sounds of laughter, rooster crowing, roaring motorcycles, or even any evidence of the presence of another human being was absent. It was quiet. And it felt quiet. The cold Arctic wind had frozen the sounds that warmed me up these past few weeks.

I'm looking forward to the trip to 'kembali'.
