Mind the STEP

The 'T' in the STEP is for 'teachers'. Do try to know them. 

If you want good grades in the courses you're taking with them, find out what they expect from you, your assignments, and your exams.

If you want to get 'ilm from them, find out their style of teaching. Know when they are being serious, and when they are joking. Don't confuse their sarcasm with factual information. 

If you want to gain benefits from their wisdom, be patient and ready to accept them for who they are. They are humans too. You have to put your ego, preferences and any preconceived ideas aside. Be ready to learn just like how prophet Musa a.s. was prepared before accompanying prophet Khidir a.s..
